Supportive therapy for parents in Florida and North Carolina.

You didn’t think parenting was going to feel this way…

Parenting is full of your best - and worst - moments. You feel exasperated with your kids one moment, and find yourself missing them once they go to bed. Your mind runs with all the regrets you have from the day: yelling at your five year-old for taking too long; wishing you could put your baby down for just five minutes to rest or catch up on chores; arguing with your loud, rambunctious 10 year-old; unable to manage your own big emotions when your child’s emotions get too big. You imagined parenting being so different from what you’re experiencing.

You aren’t alone.

You’re already a great parent, because you know you need extra support - and you’re going to get it.

How can therapy help?

You can learn to manage your own emotions, and model for your kids how to manage theirs.

It may feel impossible now, but you can handle those big feelings (yours and your kids’!). You can repair the rifts that are created with your kids when you lose your cool (and we all do at times). I would love you help you get to that place.

I’ll help you through the process. My approach to parent support therapy includes you as the expert on your child. I promise not to assume, and not to judge. I believe you are already doing so many things right, and with my support, you can gain some insight on the things you can change and how to do so.

Parenting support therapy can help you:

  • Identify your parenting triggers, and understand why these common behaviors push your buttons

  • Teach you skills to learn to relax and respond, instead of losing control of yourself

  • Educate you about your child’s mental health diagnosis, and how to parent your unique child

  • Give you a safe space to be honest about how difficult parenting can be
